My Daily Prayers and Readings for 08/30/2013

When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?”… The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?”

Lord God, living by Your values and according to Your purpose calls for courage. Permeate my heart and mind, so that living by Your values becomes second-nature to me. May I courageously choose to love like Jesus, in spite of the world’s pressure to judge. Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. 1 Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Praying on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Ears to hear and eyes to see — both are gifts from the Lord.

Lord God, maker of heaven and earth, maker of my eyes and ears, would You give me Your eyes and ears today? Would you help me to see as You see, to hear as You hear? And as a result, may I treat people as You treat them, and respond to their needs according to Your Spirit’s leadership. 1 Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/30/2013

But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people. He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person.

Lord Jesus through You, in the Holy Spirit I am able to come to You so that You can create a pure heart within me, and renew a steadfast spirit for my one walk in and with You today. Practicing Your presence, and in Your presence disillusionment. 1 Free of judgement and full of forgiveness, love and acceptance. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in the moment through the Spirit in Your name for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel and Your work within me. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/11/2013

Now as they were traveling along, He entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word. But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me.” But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

Abba Father I start my day by coming to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Freeing myself from any judgement of others and filling myself with forgiveness and love, as You forgive and love me. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me.1 Praying in and through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

Abba Father through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in and through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. One walk by staying in Your Word and being alert to always pray for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 02/11/2013

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.

Abba Father I come to You through the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me so that You will create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, to be love as You are love for my one walk in and with You. To be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. To be strong in You and Your almighty power, putting on Your full armor by standing firm with the belt of Your truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, taking up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Taking the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word. Praying in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. With this in mind, being alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

If I give all…, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 02/10/2013

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Abba Father the greatest challenge we have is being love, to love as You love – unconditionally, is more than giving or receiving. It is being love. This why I come to You through the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me each day so that You will create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, where love springs forth for my one walk in and with You. So that You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. So that You will help me be strong in You, Your love and Your almighty power, putting on Your full armor by standing firm with the belt of Your truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace and love, taking up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one who lurks in each moment trying to stop me from loving. So taking the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word. And praying in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will.
