My Daily Prayers and Readings for 06/29/2012

As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.

Abba Father I know You use all things for good, and while we often can’t understand or imagine how, if we stay faithful and watchful You will guide us according to Your will and purpose. I know my son was thinking everything was going so good and now he is having a hard time understanding why things happen. He is searching for reasons and answers. What I ask in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within us through the Holy Spirit is that You create in him a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within him. One with eyes of faith for his one walk in and with Jesus. Make him a channel of Your peace and love. Use me to teach him how to stand having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless us in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/05/2012

In that day you will say: “Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted.

Abba Father oh how praise and thank You. I ask In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit that You continue to bless my son, making him aware of Your will for him and that You will guide him through his recovery one moment at a time, in full consciousness and awareness of Your presence. Teaching him as You have taught me to depend on You and You alone. Create in him a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within him, so he will walk as one with You in and with Jesus. Make his recovery a full and speedy one and use him, me and mine as proof of Your presence and channels of Your peace and love, standing together having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You remind us that if we get nothing else done each day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 06/28/2012

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Abba Father reflecting back on this day last week my mind seemed to be a tug-a-war between praise for giving me my son back, and prayer for his full recovery. It seems our fallen nature is always wanting more. The minute we get what we ask, we ask for something else. But my confidence is in You, for You have guided me well in recent years; and my focus is on Your will for me and mine aware that You have a purpose for each of us. What we need to do is start each moment and day asking in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within us through the Holy Spirit that You create in us a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within us, for our one walk in and with Jesus. Make us a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless us in fulfillment of Your will; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/04/2012

When He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth.”

Abba Father how do I thank You. Just one week ago on this day I heard my boy had been electrocuted and I fell to my knees crying out not to take my boy from me. Lost I knew you were with me. And as I arrive at the hospital I cried and continued to pray. Now here it is just one week later and I have my boy home and with me. Your grace and mercy is truly with me and mine and I am humbled. In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and that You will carry my boy through his recovery as You have carried me so many times. And like me, help him to know the footsteps he sees are Yours. Create in him a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within him, so he too will walk as one with You in and with Jesus. Make his recovery a full and speedy one and use him, me and mine as proof of Your presence and channels of Your peace and love, standing together having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You remind us that if we get nothing else done each day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 06/27/2012

“For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”

Abba Father today it feels it is so easy to lose oneself, and in doing so sight of why, how, what and when. But at the same time through Your word I feel nothing as changed through the centuries. You are the answer to why, how, what and when. That is why in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for it is from there that I must take my first step each day by making my first priority my one walk in and with Jesus. From there I know how I must walk as a channel of Your peace in unconditional love and with unconditional forgiveness. And what I must do, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Knowing You will show me when to do it, not as I may think or want, but as You lead. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Abba Father of the many things I contemplate as I try to put into practice what Your truths reveal to me; instant forgiveness by trying to put myself in the others place is one of them. While many will say the change is me is due to age, I know it is aging with You in my heart and mind through practicing Your presence. It is due to instant conviction of my thoughts, words, and actions by the Holy Spirit within me. It is in knowing I am closer to You when I walk with a clean heart likened to Jesus’ and the right spirit of putting others first and dying to myself. So in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Make me a channel of Your peace, love and forgiveness. Standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Abba Father ‘when we see a failure, show us that You are in charge of our careers and business. Show us that as we look to You in our work life roles, that our success and failure is not final, but only a part of our walk with you, and that all things will work together to fulfill your purpose.’ In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today.
