My Daily Prayers and Readings for 11/22/2012

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

Abba Father just as faith ought to produce works; thankfulness ought to produce expressions of gratitude through action from within. The starting point is a pure heart and steadfast spirit rooted in the Words of Jesus Christ. So I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me through the Holy Spirit so that You would create a pure heart in all of us as we think of You today, and You would create a steadfast spirit within each of us, for one walk in and with You. Free of judgement, pride, anger, hurt and selfishness because others seem to fall short of our expectations, but depended on the need to show Your presence in each of us by being a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Always standing having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; and above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one who lurks waiting to use whoever and whatever he can to separate us from You. Always praying without ceasing that You continue to bless us and ours in fulfillment of Your will, keeping us from evil and pain; while reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 11/21/2012

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Abba Father gratitude has many benefits1 and I know I am most grateful when I am able to take this time each morning to come to You in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me through the Holy Spirit so that You can create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with You. Nothing confirms You power and awesomeness than the feeling I get as You work in me to free me from myself; my selfishness, pride, anger, doubt and fears. To know when I step out each day I do so anxiously await to see how and where You will use me. Looking to see what You will show and teach me about how and what I need to do to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Knowing that if I stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one who lurks waiting for me to take my eyes off of You or stumble over my doubt and fear. Knowing that with my Mom even though we are physically apart we are united in spirit and as Jesus said, “if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”2 So together with her each day I pray and ask that You continue to bless our family in fulfillment of Your will, keeping us from evil and pain; and reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night.

Abba Father to walk among, but not in step with; to stand among, but not in the way; to sit among, but not succumb is the challenge under the sun. To follow Jesus’ example of being among, but not being of. Staying as one with You through eyes of faith and delighting in Your word enough to meditate on it day and night. To come to You each day in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within through the Holy Spirit so that You can create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within, for one walk in and with You is the only way. Dying to self over and over again to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Praying without ceasing for others and asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, keeping us from evil and pain; and reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 11/19/2012

Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

Abba Father ‘Your word is truth and sanctifies me’1, revealing Your secrets and wisdom, and lighting the path I should follow. But under the sun it becomes so easy to lose sight of what is revealed by Your word in this time with You, to forget what I know and act and react foolishly stumbling and falling off the narrow path You have shown me. SoI come to You each morning in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me through the Holy Spirit so that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, separating me from my failings from yesterday and putting me back on the path for my one walk in and with You this day. So that You will show and teach me how to stumble less and stay on the path so I can be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. By standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always praying for others and that You will continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, keeping us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 11/18/2012

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

Abba Father darkness and sin surround me, selfishness, pride and regret consume me; but I will surrender only to You, I will continue to fight to overcome myself. For I know ‘Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path’.1 I will I come to You each day in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me through the Holy Spirit so that You can create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with You. That You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. That You will help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
